John Robert McCoun, son of Leonard Turley McCoun and Sarah Mahan, was born May 4, 1853 in Hendricks Co., Indiana and died Jan. 8, 1898. He married Lena Hornecker June 1, 1892 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
