Thomas Burley Masters, son of Thomas Masters and Elizabeth Matlock, was born June 14, 1829 in Overton Co., Tennessee and died June 11, 1905 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. His obituary gives his birth date as June 14, 1828. He married Elizabeth Borland May 20, 1847 in Morgan Co., Illinois. She was born Sept. 25, 1828 in Beith,near Glasgow, Ayrshire, Scotland,and died Dec. 6, 1908 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. Their son, Wilburn B., was born in Illinois and died Aug. 24, 1892 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. Source of death date: Death Records, Taylor County Courthouse, Bedford, Iowa.
