Surena or Serena "Sereny" Lucas, son of Philander Harvey Lucas and Lydia Fisher, was born Dec. 13, 1834 in Ashtabula Co., Ohio and died Sept. 22, 1913 at Leavenworth, Leavenworth Co., Kansas. He married Rebecca Ellen Lewis Dec. 29, 1870 at St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri. She was born June 2, 1844 near Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois, daughter of William Bruce Lewis and Jemima Easley, and died Nov. 6, 1906 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
