Harriet Hazel "Hattie" Thomas, daughter of Clarence and Harriet Thomas, was born Dec. 23, 1897 near Anamosa, Jones Co., Iowa, and died Aug. 31, 1968 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. She married James Evert John Oct. 16, 1919 in Mohall, Renville Co., North Dakota. He was born Sept. 27, 1891 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Columbus Grant John and Bertha Ann Mothershead, and died Oct. 5, 1975 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. After the death of his first wife he married Louie Mendenhall Mar. 11, 1969.
