Bertha Ann Mothershead, daughter of John Lee Mothershead and Harriet Ward Redman, was born Sept. 29, 1867 in Knox Co., Missouri and died Nov. 26, 1932 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Columbus Grant John Oct. 4, 1885 in Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born April 27, 1865 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana, son of Christopher Columbus John and Nancy Catharine Ensminger, and died Jan. 8, 1940 at Cedar Falls, Black Hawk Co., Iowa.
