William Wiley Hatfield, son of John Martin Hatfield, Jr. and Martha Jay, was born Dec.17, 1854 in Peoria Co., Illinois, and died Dec. 21, 1914 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. His obituary gives the birth year as 1853. He married Mary Emma Taylor April 21, 1881 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Sept. 24, 1860 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Cyrenus or Cyrenius Taylor and Eliza Jane Freel, and died Feb. 12, 1944 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
