Bessie Opal Douglas, daughter of Clarence Charles Douglas and Minnie Alice Bell, was born Oct. 7, 1900 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Dec. 30, 1981 at Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa. She married Renna Alred Goforth Feb. 20, 1919 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born June 8, 1898 in Mason Twp., Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Arthur Cornelious Goforth and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Dawson,and died April 4, 1973 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. Her obituary gives the marriage date as Feb. 21, 1919, but Iowa Marriages and his obituary confirm the date as Feb. 20, 1919.
