James B. Asher, son of Milton and Mary Asher, was born May 6, 1838 in Indiana and died June 13, 1884 in Ross Twp., south of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Mary C. Stoddard May 12, 1864 in Monroe Co., Iowa. Source: Iowa state marriage certificate.
