Mariah J. Looker was born Aug. 28, 1830 in Virginia, daughter of John Looker and Edith Cottrell Mathews,and died Jan. 31, 1890 near Siam, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Daniel Harrison Clayton June 3, 1847 in Hardin Co., Ohio. He was born Mar. 3, 1827 in Washington Co., Ohio, son of David and Mary Clayton, and died July 21, 1908 in Clearmont, Nodaway Co., Missouri. His obituary available Taylor Co., Iowa gen web site.
