Mary Catherine Townsend, daughter of Ellison Townsend and Catherine Zimmerman, was born Oct. 22, 1844 in Morgan Co., Indiana and died May 28, 1930 in Atchison Twp., Nodaway Co., Missouri. She married John Wesley Maxwell Jan. 4, 1872 in Iowa.
