Joseph Franklin Maxwell, son of John Wesley Maxwell and Mary Catherine Townsend, was born April 7, 1879 in Atchison Twp., Nodaway Co., Missouri and died Feb. 4, 1952 in Atchison Twp., Nodaway Co., Missouri. He was not married at the time of his death. He is buried with his parents and brothers and sisters in the family plot in Shearer Cemetery.
