EMILY ESTELLA "STELLA" MAXWELL

On the right hand side of the stone are inscribed the names of the parents and one child, with the names of the children continued on the left side. Right side: John Wesley Maxwell, son of Robert Maxwell and Charlotte Judd, was born Jan. 9, 1849, in Andrew Co., Missouri and died May 21, 1904 near Braddyville, Page Co., Iowa. He married Mary Catherine Townsend Jan. 4, 1872 in Iowa. She was born Oct. 22, 1844 in Morgan Co., Indiana, daughter of Ellison Townsend and Catharine Zimmerman, and died May 28, 1930 in Atchison Twp., Nodaway Co., Missouri. Source of her birth and death dates: Missouri State death certificate. The children are: Robert Ellison, Mary Anna, Joseph Franklin, and Emily Estella "Stella."
