John Manley Maxwell, son of William Maxwell and Letitia Manley, was born Aug. 18, 1846 in Morgan Co., Indiana and died Oct. 7, 1918 at New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Harriett Kreps or Creps Feb. 21, 1869. She was born Sept. 25, 1851 near Leipsic, Putnam Co., Ohio, daughter of John Kreps or Creps and Mary Waltner or Welkner, and died April 10, 1938 at New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa.
