Mary was the daughter of George Washington Howland & Clarinda Hall. She married Frank May on 8 Jan 1874 in Anamosa, Jones, IA. They were the parents of Ora Dell, Louis Albert, Murriel Irene, Jennie Etta, Roxie Dell, and Margaret Estella.
