Name given to him by the Whites was War Eagle. He was not warlike, indeed tried to keep the peace. For his efforts he was given a silver medal by President Martin Van Buren in 1837. Buried somewhere close by (exact spot unknown) are his two daughters Dawn & Blazing Cloud as well as several other family members.
