Betty Muriel Balch, daughter of Hartley Winfield Balch and Grace Hays, was born Sept. 6, 1923 near Savannah, Andrew Co., Missouri and died Sept. 5, 2009 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Cleo Ott Houchin Aug. 9, 1943 at Troy, Doniphan Co., Kansas. He was born Oct. 10, 1914 north of Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Franklin Lewis Houchin and Francena Ethel Meredith, and died Oct. 7, 1994 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
