Fannie Elnora Galigher, daughter of Ulrich or Uriah Nelson Galigher and America Jane Deitz, was born Feb. 5, 1861 in Port Byron, Rock Island Co., Illinois and died April 15, 1954 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married William Per Pierson June 14, 1878 northwest of Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa. Source of marriage date: Iowa, Marriages and Iowa, County Marriages. Her obituary gives the marriage date as June 20, 1878. He was born Nov. 7, 1856 in Ignaberga, Christiantad, Sweden, son of John Pierson (Swedish birth name Hans Pehrsson) and Bengta Olson (Swedish birth name Bengta Olsdr), and died June 24, 1945 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
