James Peter Hamilton was born Dec. 3, 1877 in Olive, Noble Co., Ohio, son of Alexander Taylor Hamilton and Elizabeth Josephine Barnes, and died Nov. 6, 1973 in Ames, Story Co., Iowa. He married Calista Kay Sexton Feb. 20, 1900 in Harrison Co., Missouri. She was born in April 1878 in Mercer Co., Missouri, daughter of Isaac Free Sexton and Elizabeth Sparks, and died in 1966 in Iowa.
