Walter Cleo McNees, son of George Patrick McNees and Mary Maude Fast, was born July 12, 1912 near New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Feb. 20, 1942 in Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa. He married Thelma Rose Pfander Sept. 24, 1937 at Peru, Nemaha Co., Nebraska.
