She married Fred Leslie Shafar Aug. 1, 1920 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Jan. 16, 1900 near Indianola, Warren Co., Iowa, son of Hugh Shafar and Irene Dewey, and died June 4, 1962 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
