Jessie Ruth Burwell, daughter of Clarence Alden Burwell and Myrtle Douthit, was born Nov. 28, 1904 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 16,1993 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Russell Miller Stearns Jan. 26, 1926 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Jan. 10, 1905 in New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Alonzo Lewis Stearns and Sarah Elizabeth Miller, and died May 29, 1977 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
