Nancy Jane Scott, daughter of Daniel Boone Scott and Mary Emma Pickerel, was born July 3, 1867 in Wallace, Buchanan Co., Missouri and died Nov. 11, 1948 southeast of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Robert Edward Roberts Dec. 9, 1889 in St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri. He was born Jan. 1, 1867 in Platte Co., Missouri, son of Edward Roberts and Margaret Elizabeth Ralston, and died Feb. 8, 1937 in Nodaway, Adams Co., Iowa.
