Clarence Marks Underwood, son of Richard James Underwood and Sarah Marks, was born Dec. 17, 1869 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Sept. 7, 1949 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. He married Hannah Caroline Swanson Jan. 13, 1892 at Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Nov. 13, 1872 in Rio, Knox Co., Illinois, daughter of Benjamin Swanson and Anna Lena Anderson, and died Oct. 27, 1942 in Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa.
