Alva F. Hopkins, son of Harmon Hopkins and Margaret Nick, was born June 10, 1854 in Jo Daviess Co., Illinois and died Mar. 20, 1934 in Red Oak, Montgomery Co., Iowa. He married Evalda Caroline Wheelock Feb. 3, 1881 at Gratiot, Lafayette Co., Wisconsin.
