James Alexander Menoher, son of James Gordon Menoher and Elizabeth Blakely, was born Sept. 23, 1860 in Macon Co., Missouri and died Jan. 17, 1917 in Manhattan, Riley Co., Kansas. He married 1) Anna Pearl Rutledge Dec. 22, 1888 in Taylor Co., Iowa and 2) Anna Eugenia Algeo Sept. 8, 1897 at Gravity, Taylor Co. Iowa. She was born Mar. 20, 1865 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of John Algeo and Mary Harlan, and died Dec. 6,1939 in Lake Worth, Palm Beach Co., Florida.She is buried in Miami, Florida. Her mother's name is given as Susan or Louisa depending on the source. Mary is the name given on her Florida State death certificate. Elizabeth Blakely, mother of James Alexander Menoher, was born Oct. 6, 1831 in Morgan Co., Illinois, daughter of Charles Blakely and Lucetta Lemmons, and died Oct. 14, 1921 in Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa.
