Iniss May Carpenter, daughter of Seymour Carpenter and Elizabeth Mitchell, was born Dec. 13, 1869 near Independence, Buchanan Co., Iowa and died May 27, 1945 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Emanuel Perdew July 24, 1890 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. Her obituary gives her birth date as 1868.
