Effie Captola Hastings, daughter of Thomas Hastings and Ella Lowery, was born Oct. 9, 1889 near Farragut, Fremont Co., Iowa and died Aug. 7, 1997 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Allen Roy Cole Oct. 1, 1906 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Mar. 9, 1884 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Thomas Cole and Lydia Kilborn, and died Feb. 12, 1977 in Corning, Adams Co., Iowa.
