Simon Johnson, son of David Johnson and Lovina Gay, was born Mar. 29, 1855 in Dewitt Co., Illinois and died May 12, 1943 in Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Martha Jane Freeman Jan. 5, 1881 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Jan. 1, 1862 in Henry Co., Iowa, daughter of Samuel Williamson Campbell Freeman and Mary Catherine Flowers, and died Aug. 22, 1928 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
