William Akey, son of James Akey and Nancy Catherine Boyd, was born in 1818 in Ireland and died Mar. 19, 1896 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Sidney Evelyn Hubbard Sept. 22, 1856 in Portage Co., Ohio.
