William Cox, son of David Cox and Hannah Wooley, was born Sept. 1836 in Illinois and died Feb. 12, 1912 in Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Sarah Jane Weech April 26 or May 8, 1864 in Knox Co., Illinois. Both dates are given in Illinois, County Marriages. She was born Oct. 2, 1847 in Somerset, England, daughter of Joseph Weech and Martha White, and died Jan. 30, 1929 in Corning, Adams Co., Iowa. Her 2nd husband was Peter John Burnison, whom she married in 1893 at Red Oak, Montgomery Co., Iowa.
