Daniel Cobb, son of Daniel Cobb and Wealthy Candrell or Crandall, was born Oct. 26, 1836 in Tolland, Hartford Co., Connecticut and died April 18, 1908 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Nancy Baker King Hoffner Dec. 19, 1893 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted as a private Jan. 14, 1862 in Co. F., 1st Illinois Volunteers Regiment .
