Mountjoy Bailey Asbury, son of John Asbury and Leah Bailey, was born Mar. 29, 1834 in Proutytown, Taylor Co., Virginia, now West Virginia, and died Mar. 6, 1911 north of Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Rachel Elizabeth Armstrong April 5, 1865 in Arkansas.
