James Burd Morrison, son of Thomas Morrison and Sophia Davis, was born Nov. 17, 1840 in Ohio and died Oct. 24, 1928 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Rosette Jane Scott Feb. 9, 1872 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born in Dec. 1850 in Clay Co., Indiana, daughter of Cornelius Norton Scott and Jemima Elizabeth Duncan and died Jan. 5, 1914 near Ladoga, Taylor Co., Iowa.
