Alta Loretta Monahan, daughter of James Monahan and Sarah Walker, was born Aug. 8, 1878 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa and died May 6, 1960 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. She married William Jason Nevius Sept. 13, 1895. He was born Feb. 22, 1875 near Coffeyville, Montgomery Co., Kansas, son of William Helms Nevius and Rosetta Searl, and died May 10, 1947 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
