Benjamin Clark Stearns, son of William H.Stearns and Elizabeth Clough, was born Aug. 4, 1853 in Bolton, Chittenden Co., Vermont and died June 14, 1948 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Malinda Mary Million Oct. 30, 1881 at Memory (now New Market), Taylor Co., Iowa; 2) Kate Maud Ryker Cole Feb. 13, 1923 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa; 3) Vera Martin Greenway June 18, 1936 at Glenwood, Mills Co., Iowa.
