Raymond Otto Akers, son of Benjamin Franklin Akers and Josephine Bannister, was born Feb. 23, 1890 northeast of Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa, and died Jan. 8, 1967 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. He married 1) Rilla Ann Pfander Sept. 14, 1911 and 2) Eunice Veda Piper Oct. 25, 1916 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Nov. 20, 1891 in Page Co., Iowa, daughter of Ezekiel Piper and Ida Jane Muckey, and died Feb. 4, 1977 in Hamburg, Fremont Co., Iowa.
