Wentford R. Hootman, son of Jacob G. Hootman and Mary Beall, was born Sept. 15, 1883 in Mt. Zion, Van Buren Co., Iowa and died April 15, 1966 in Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa. He married Maude Evelyn Wire. She was born in Jan.1886 in Iowa, daughter of William Henry Wire and Caroline Josephine Finnekohl, and died Aug. 13, 1965 in Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa.
