James Gilbert Posten, son of Joseph I. Posten and Ellen Payne, was born Oct. 25, 1867 in Scott Co., Iowa and died Dec. 30, 1932 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Mary Jane Irwin Feb. 12, 1891 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Sept. 9, 1866 in Warren Co., Illinois, daughter of Thomas Irwin and Margaret Ann Hargin, and died Jan. 11, 1941 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
