Leonard Rogers and Sarah Ann Rogers were the children of John C. Rogers and Zilpha Howard. Leonard was born in Oct. 1833 in Ashtabula Co., Ohio and died Oct. 11, 1921 near New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa. His sister Sarah Ann was born Nov. 11, 1831 in Ashtabula Co., Ohio and died Feb. 17, 1915 west of Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. Iowa, Select Deaths and Burials, 1850-1990 gives her birth date as Nov. 11, 1830.
