Edwin Putnam Green was born July 5, 1833 near Zanesville, Muskingum Co., Ohio, son of Thomas Green and Sarah Marsh, and died May 9, 1902 northwest of Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Elenor C. Swan Dec. 25, 1862 in Louisa Co., Iowa. She was born July 1, 1843 in Preble Co., Ohio, daughter of James McConnell Swan and Nancy Agnes Rouse, and died Oct. 23, 1925 near Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa.
