Elbridge Deming Alvord, son of Elijah Alvord and Mary Barker, was born Oct. 19, 1820 in Vinton Co., Ohio and died Mar. 31, 1901 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Lucinda Churchill Jan. 1, 1844 in Lake Co., Ohio.
