William Shields Barkley son of Ebenezer Barkley and Jane Shields, was born June 29, 1840 in Tennessee and died Sept. 2, 1923 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Martha Ann Brock April 3, 1862 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
