Roy William Coan, son of John Coan and Jane Ann Watson, was born April 21, 1875 in LaSalle Co., Illinois and died Nov. 11, 1970 in Waynesville, Haywood Co., North Carolina. He married 1) Mary Jane Phillips Aug. 28, 1900 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa and 2) Florence Mickey.
