Sylvester Victor Mann, son of Thomas Calvin Mann and Rachel E. Johnson, was born Oct. 24, 1877 in Union Co., Iowa and died in Dec. 1949 in Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa. He married Grace Emily Johnson Jan. 6, 1901 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. His World War I Draft Registration Card gives his birth date as Oct. 24, 1876.
