Clyde Bertie Lane, son of James Madison Lane and Adeline Shroyer, was born June 13, 1881 in Adams Co., Iowa and died Mar. 2, 1940 near Norwalk, Warren Co., Iowa. He married 1) Maude Lennie Wynn Nov. 25, 1900 at Prescott, Adams Co., Iowa and 2) Catheryn Faye Martin May 21, 1932. The name is given as Bertie Clyde Lane in his obituary.
