George Raymond Johnson, son of George David Johnson and Mary Ellen Hall, was born April 11, 1891 at Monmouth, Warren Co., Illinois and died Oct. 5, 1977 in Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa. He married Verna Beatrice Houk Mar. 1, 1914 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Nov. 16, 1894 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Fred Arthur Houk and Clara Mae Swander, and died Feb. 16, 1978 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
