Jerome B. Rogers, son of John C. Rogers and Zilpha Howard, was born in 1836 in Ashtabula Co., Ohio and died Mar. 9, 1897 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. Hen He enlisted in Co. G, 88th Ohio Infantry Regiment July 31, 1863 and was mustered out Oct. 6, 1863. Source: Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio. He married Almira Masker Oct. 9, 1864 in Morrow Co., Ohio. She was born Feb. 18, 1842 in Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey, daughter of David J. Masker and Eliza Runyon, and died Nov. 24, 1930 in Taylor Co., Iowa.
