Benjamin Piper, son of Daniel Piper and Anna Bear or Bair, was born Nov. 17, 1842 in Franklin Co., Pennsylvania and died Nov. 15, 1929 in Sharpsburg, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Roseann Mitchell May 19, 1867 in Knox Co., Illinois and 2) Sarah Jane Shepherd Dec. 28, 1871 in Page Co., Iowa.
