Merriman Ira Proctor, son of Henry Proctor and Samantha Herriman, was born Feb. 4, 1848 in Lake Co., Ohio and died Feb. 21, 1921 in Ringgold Co., Iowa. He married Sarah Elizabeth Skinner July 21, 1878 in Ringgold Co., Iowa. She was born June 23, 1856 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania, daughter of William Parkinson Skimmer and Emeline Gregg, and died Dec. 21, 1927 in Blockton, Taylor Co., Iowa.
