John William Stewart was born Aug. 11, 1853 in Knox Co., Illinois and died Dec. 3, 1923 in Reinbeck, Grundy Co., Iowa. He married Elvira Catherine Larison Feb. 24, 1885 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born in Dec. 1860 in Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of George Larison and Eliza Jane Holbrook, and died May 14, 1944 in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk Co., Iowa.
